What’s new in Forma

Focus time, across your whole calendar

Focus blocks now work everywhere you do. Schedule one in Forma and it appears in Google Calendar, pauses Forma notifications, and updates your Slack status until you are done.

• Set a default focus length and preferred hours in Settings → Focus.
• Teammates see “Focusing until 12:00” on your avatar, so they know when you will be back.
• End a block early and your notifications catch up in a single summary.

Automation activity log

Every automation now keeps a readable history. Open any rule to see each time it ran, what it changed, and the event that triggered it.

• Undo any automated change straight from the log.
• Rules that fail explain why and suggest a fix.
• Automations run noticeably faster when several fire at once.

A faster, steadier board view

Large boards open quicker and scroll smoothly, even with hundreds of cards. Dragging cards between columns now feels immediate.

• Boards load only what is on screen, then fill in the rest.
• Card counts in column headers update as you filter.

Microsoft Teams and Dropbox integrations

Two of the most requested integrations are here in beta. Turn a Teams message into a task, and attach Dropbox files to the projects they belong to.

• Link a Teams channel to a project to share updates automatically.
• Dropbox files show a live preview on the task.

Weekly summaries by email

Your Monday recap can now arrive in your inbox: what you finished, what is coming up, and anything that has been waiting too long.

• Turn it on or off in Settings → Notifications.
• Team plans can send one summary to the whole team.

Small fixes and polish

Fixes for issues reported by customers.

• Recurring tasks no longer duplicate when edited across time zones.
• Calendar events with long titles now wrap instead of cutting off.
• Keyboard focus stays in the command menu after searching.

Templates for repeat work

Save any project as a template and start the next launch, onboarding, or review from a checklist that already works.

• Templates keep tasks, owners by role, due-date offsets, and automations.
• A starter library covers roadmaps, briefs, campaigns, and onboarding.

Dark theme

Forma now has a dark theme. Switch between light and dark from the toggle in the header.
